How do I convert a regular trailer into an enclosed one?
Apr 13, 2006 by Rockstar | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
I have great welding skills, but I have no clue what materials to use, or what the stadnards of strength/weight are. Any help you can offer would be great.
I'm converting a simple trailer with steel frame and wood decking to an enclosed
I have absolutely no idea... but my grandpa was a car salesman in Hemit... I think for a while he also sold trailers... not sure; all I knew about him in those days was that he was awesome and we loved chocolate... not like any of that helps you. Sorry!

New trailer advances preparation
31.12.69
A new trailer to be filled with medical supplies and equipment for use during a major emergency is the latest tool to make the Santa Ynez Valley more prepared for a disaster.
Donated by the Vikings of Solvang to the Santa Ynez Valley Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the enclosed trailer, 6 feet by 12 feet, is a “work in progress” at the moment, according to CERT Coordinator Tom Walton.
When the trailer, parked at Buellton City Hall, is eventually outfitted with shelves and stocked with cases of water, tables, pop-up canopy and medical supplies, it will serve as invaluable resource in response to and training for earthquakes, fires, floods or other disasters, said Walton, a retired emergency planner for the Sheriff’s Department.

Indiana Pork is partnering with Squealers Award Winning Barbeque for this summer’s Barbeque Competition Tour. The 12 weekend tour spans the Midwest and features some of the finest barbecue chefs in the nation. “We are excited about this partnership. Squealers is a great Indiana company and we’re happy to support their efforts to serve more pork,” said Sarah Ford of Indiana Pork.
While touring, Squealers utilizes a custom, 30 foot enclosed trailer with massive smoking capabilities and full refrigeration. With competitions spanning more than a decade, Squealers has achieved more than 65 awards at assorted national barbeque, world barbeque and Ribfest throughout the United States. In 2011, Squealers was invited to the prestigious American Royal and Jack Daniels barbeque competitions. “We love to hit the road to spread the word about our brand and bring our secret barbeque to the masses. We thank Indiana’s pork farmers for their support – this is a great partnership for us,” said owner Jeff Yater.

The Budget Truck Rental Saga, Start to Happy Endings
We arrived to pick up our truck Friday morning to find that there were no 16' Trucks available. The Budget location upgraded us to a 24' truck, but this unfortunately would not fit in the driveway of the location I was moving from. They were nice enough to seek out another truck, and it was at the location by 1:00 or 2:00. I picked it up and commenced my move. Unfortunately for me, I still had to have the truck back by 8:00 AM the next morning. This meant I had to move well into the evening, as well as with my young kids, as opposed to the plan we had of loading all of the large items while they were in school. Additionally, I had to choose to leave items, and move them via my SUV throughout the remnants of the weekend, costing me additional gas and wear and tear on my personal vehicle due to multiple trips. I was charged $80 for a truck I had only half of the day, this included the truck charge, the insurance, and I assume mileage. It actually seems a bit high on it's own. Additionally I burned close to an entire tank of gas ($40) in my personal vehicle due to the scheduling failures of Budget. I ceased ever renting from U-Haul over a very similar incident that they didn't feel mattered very much. Since that point, I've rented from Budget at least 10 times, including a move from New Jersey to Indiana . I am anxious to hear your proposed solution. As I see it, I'm out $120 that I shouldn't be. Thank you for contacting us about your experience with Budget Truck. Budget takes seriously...
