"Electrical system upgrades are also usually included for easy brake light and turn signal hook-up to the tow vehicle, and may even include built-in support for electric trailer brake controllers," she says. "The manufacturer will have integrated all of these changes to give you the best and most reliable towing experience."

Blessing of the Boats May 19

“He probably came up with the idea more than a year ago,” Henion said. “I was thinking the same thing, that it would be nice to do some type of thing like this with the boat club.”

The blessing will take place on Pere Marquette Lake between the boat club and the Ludington Yacht Club.

“We’ll do the blessing from the Ludington police and fire boat over their PA system, so everybody on the lake should be able to hear the blessing,” Henion said. “After we do the general blessing there will be a single-file parade with the boats near the police-fire boat and they’ll each get a special blessing and holy water sprinkled on them. After that we’ll be moving down in front of the Badger.

Severe weather damages coastal area (video)

Charlie's Bait Shop sustained between $4,000 and $5,000 in damage.

Owner Neal Gray said he lost live bait consisting of shrimp, crickets and mullet when the power went out during the storm.

The office awning and store bathroom were blown away.

Gray, who also rents plots on his five acres to visiting fishermen, said many of the 14 trailers on the property were also damaged.

Larry Jones and his wife, Judy Jones, were in one of the campers on Gray's land when the storm hit.

The Joneses, of Abilene, along with Larry Jones' elderly father and the couple's three small dogs, had camped there since last Sunday for their 46th annual fishing trip to the area.
