No one is calling John Cox and Keith Carson of DeBary the Gemini Springs Gamblers, but the way these two have chased their dream of making it as bass tournament pros, maybe they should.
Every time they've either been about to go broke or have hit it big, they put it all on the line make the dream reality.
Cox, 25, and Carson, 24, grew up fishing Gemini Springs together.
In the FLW Tour's Red River event May 22 in Shreveport, La., Cox won $100,000 and Carson won the co-angler division and $20,000. It was their biggest win ever.
"That was going to be our last tournament if we didn't get a check," Carson said.
After going just two tournaments without winning any money, Cox said they were $10,000 in the hole.
