3 hose hookah... only 2 ball bearings? explain?

So i just bought a hookah its a 3 hose hookah but it only has 2 ball bearings.... how come?
I asked the owners this question and they said the 3rd one doesnt need it because it will help in releasing old smoke or something??? but i just cant remember

Must multihoses have them in all the hose ports. But like with Mya Saray Hookahs a newer trend is people putting on the autoseal adapters on all of them but one (usually the power smoker) and one regular
