Supply of Clean Water
31.12.69
SUPPLYING clean water to its population is the longstanding struggle that the Zambian Government, through local authorities and water companies, has been battling.
Our human population depends heavily on water resources, not only as drinking water but also for crops, agriculture and livestock as well as fishing.
This means that inadequate water supply will have far-reaching consequences on all forms of life while lack of safe drinking water is just a health hazard.
And Zambians throughout the country have for a long time been affected by a lack of clean drinking water. This is due in large part to the waste of this vital resource as a result of vandalism to water pipes and increase in community settlements.
