Lindsay Lohan won't face any criminal charges in connection with an allegation that her car hit the manager of the Hookah Lounge in Hollywood, because prosecutors say that a video shows no collision and that the alleged victim was less than credible.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office declined to prosecute the 25-year-old actress after reviewing a police investigation into the March 13 incident.
A charge could have been considered a violation of Lohan's probation terms for a 2011 necklace theft conviction.
Prosecutors described a car pulling into a parking lot shortly after 11 p.m. and then beginning to maneuver before the driver and passenger switched positions. According to Deputy Dist. Atty John Gilligan, the security video is too grainy to identify the individuals. The car continues to turn around and leaves the lot. Two pedestrians are seen on the video, which "does not show any collision," prosecutors said.

As hookah becomes in, it raises health concerns

From being a centre-point of village gatherings to gracing plush joints in metros, the hookah has made a comeback in social space. But its return has sparked concern among cancer experts who say Indian youth are getting addicted to the hubble-bubble in the mistaken belief that it is a healthy alternative to cigarettes.
According to the Global Adults Tobacco Survey (GATS) 2009-10, India accounts for over seven million hookah users among a total of 274.9 million tobacco users. While tobacco is the leading cause of cancer deaths in India, experts say hookah smokers are prone to lung cancer, oral cancer, heart diseases and respiratory disorders.
"Over the last two years, hookahs have penetrated urban space and gained enormous popularity among youngsters. Without knowing the harmful effects, youth are addicted to the hookah because of a fashion quotient associated with it," said Dhirendra N Sinha, regional advisor, Surveillance (Tobacco Control) at the World Health Organisation (WHO), Southeast Asia.

MARIETTA - Hoping to give residents and college students something different to do in downtown Marietta, a resident of the city has opened a hookah lounge on Front Street.
Located at 122 Front St., Rajah's Den Hookah Lounge is a place where people can go to smoke flavored tobacco, spend time with friends and make new ones, says its owner.
It is open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Its first day of business was April 20, according to owner Ian McKain.
"Essentially it is a calm atmosphere kind of place during the day and during the night it's a nightlife kind of scene," said McKain, 21. "Marietta doesn't have anything like this."
